My general re-action to seeing Kevin Smith's name and words 'forthcoming movie' together will usually illicit nothing more than a
meh reaction.
An article -
No sex please, we're movie lovers - mentions recent reports of Steven Soderbergh's casting of a porn star as a lead in his next movie but has more about the often used argument of extreme violence on screen being readily passed by censors, MPAA, and other media, etc than (supposed) sex being depicted on screen.
Same old, same old...blah, blah, blah... type thing!
I don't agree with many of the article writer's arguments but the overall argument has a very valid point about the portrayal of sex or violence and how either is forbidden/allowed or seen to be depicted on screen. One, far more than the other, is permitted. I have no idea why.
