I like Family Guy but I didn't think "Blue Harvest" was that good of an episode. Imaginationland at least made you think.

Pfft, i don't know, with the fame of family guy right now i wouldn't be suprised if it won. Imaginationland was good and everything but...
Lets put it this way,
In england if you say "Blue Harvest"
"AAhhh family guy, wow i love it, herbert the pedophile was great hardyhardyhardyhar!"
If you say "Imaginationland"
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
South Park only gets good results for certain groundbreaking episodes. While Family Guy is everybodys favourite show right now, because of recycled jokes. (If i see that fucking old guy again doing the same thing, i might just cry)
Its the real inconvenient truth.

FG is shown on more varied channels around these parts whereas SP is only shown on channels owned by Viacom, which over here means Paramount 'Comedy' which shows the newer episodes & repeats, and MTV for repeats. Kinda yucky.

I'm proud to say that FG doesn't even air in Finland.

If you said "Blue Harvest" to me I would swear you were talking about a brand of Potato Chips

and Go "What the fuck dude? Why are you talking about junk food with me ... I'm so hungry!"
Never even heard of that episode even..so...fuck that noise

Edit: OH THE STAR WARS episode...wtf...that got nominated?!
I don't think that was a bad episode but sheesh...compared to Imagionationland...that is bullcrap.

The Star Wars spoof episode of Family Guy is the epitome of everything that's wrong with the show. There's very little actual jokes in it. It's very reminiscent of the Epic Movies and Meet the Spartans of the world, in the sense that the entire premise seems to be "Hey guys! You remember Star Wars right? Look! It's the Griswold family in space! Isn't that silly?"
Also, Seth McFarlane is apparently dating Amanda Bynes of mid-90's Nickelodeon fame. While legal, it's still kind of creepy.

I think it would be just as creepy even if she was close to his age.
Has Family Guy ever been nominated for an Emmy before?
Edit: Woops never mind I used the magical Wikipedia!
Family Guy and its cast have been nominated for 8 Emmy awards, with three wins:
* 2000: Outstanding Voice-Over Performance – Seth MacFarlane for "Stewie Griffin"
* 2002: Outstanding Music and Lyrics – Walter Murphy (composer), Seth MacFarlane (lyricist)
* 2007: Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation – Steve Fonti (storyboard artist)
The show has also been nominated for nine Annies, and won twice, both in 2006. The show has also been nominated for a Golden Reel Award three times, winning once.
Recently, Family Guy has received its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for the episode "Lois Kills Stewie" composed by Ron Jones.

Not surprising really. I didn't enjoy Imaginationlandx3 and was mostly disappointed by the episodes (though there were some great parts, there were huge amounts I didn't like at all) I can see why it won.
Congrats to all the SP crew.
It's hard to know if
Our Heroes MnT are really happy about winning Emmys or not. They enter every year but then play it down if and when they win.
Our fav SP crew person (who has posted here!) Keef Bartkus has a public photoblog and I remember seeing a pic of one of the SP crew smashing his Emmy framed cert by jumping on it.
EDIT:
I had a quick look at Getty Image and Wireimages but no sign of pics of any SP people we know.

I doubt if MnT made an appearance.

AFAIK they've never appeared at Crap Night, although other staffers have gone there.

I think they may possibly have gone the first time they were nominated but didn't win. Trey refers to this in a commentary as a joke to build up to the realization that this wasn't the real Emmy Awards - they were at CRAP night!
