Heh, poor Butters. biggrin.gif
southparkpike
Cartman's logic must be, "If dressing Butters up like a critter worked with Paris, it must work with Britneh." sp-butters.gif
Anamaria
I think this is the second time Britney will be in a SP episode .....damn her biggrin.gif
tuhinal
And Cartman continues his obsession with photography. He has really established that smile.gif

I, ...I don't believe it...

I thought it was a good episode the first half was ok then it started to get fucked up/interesting lol some good points made in the episode for sure...
Brennan
Great episode!
tuhinal
It was kinda interesting stand to take, once again. The obvious joke would have been ridiculing Britney but they decided to ridicule the audience instead. First I didn't think it looked like it was gonna be a good one. Only after they showed her surviving the suicide it started to be interesting. I liked the point they made and the point of view from which they looked at the subject. Still, wasn't über funny.

Actually, I think that was maybe the darkest episode ever.
rinygrin
I loved this episode, and my Mom loved it too.
I nearly told a friend of mine (who's a hardcore britney fan) to watch this.
Anamaria
I loved it smile.gif . Some people really need to get a life .
southparkpike
I loved it when Kyle put on the wig and spun around at the corner. lolol

It's funny that they went this route, and didn't present Britney as another Paris. Especially since Britney has voiced her opinion that she hates the show. Mad props to Matt and Trey.

And Butters got his AGAIN. lmao

And boy, will she hate it more now! sp-cartmanlaugh.gif

If she has a bit of brain left smile.gif) she wont hate it , maybe she will even like it smile.gif
Brennan
Yeah, she should love that episode. What did she say? Where can you read that?

And the most surreal, seeing Britney operate without most of her brain and head. On the one hand, it says that she could be almost brainless and still make money for her label and the music industry in general. On the other, it says that we treat our idols like so much meat, milking them for all they've got before we throw them away or sacrifice them to infamy. Leave them alone!

I do think we're much too concerned with celebrity here in the States. This goes back to "Osama bin Laden Has Farty Pants," where the boy in the blue vest says his civilization is better "than a civilization that spends its time watching millionaires walk down the red carpet at the Emmys!"

It seems like it was one of those shows like 'VH1 Goes Inside South Park' or one of the countless articles I've read over the years.

But I definitely remember reading that Britney didn't like South Park. This was at least 5 or 6 years ago, when the show was really starting to reach a mainstream audience.

Don't have any links or anything though. Like I said, it was a while back.

this episode made celeb blogs perez hilton and dlisted today, which is way unusual.

Darker than making a kid eat his parents in a chili?

I liked this one. My kid recently decided she now hates Hannah Montana so when the end came up, we both high fived it right then and there!!!
Another season going nice and smooth.
southparkpike
If Hannah Montana fucked up, a whole generation of little girls would be crushed, along with their dreams.....

MWA-HAHAHAHA. I'm evil. MWA-hahaha. lol. That would suck though. It would be like, "I KNEW it!!!"
Misty
i am very impressed. i glad they did this topic. it seems I’ve discussed this subject in the recent past. You would never see that kinda coverage in Florida, unless you were watching E! or some entertainment news show. it puzzles me how the morning news can start out with a “Britney Watch” and it usually does. I asked the people here why they watch that garbage news program. They said just to see what those crazy fuckers are going to do. Don’t know that I’ve seen the “weather slut” actually talk about the weather. rolleyes.gif

Well, she certainly wasn’t running around sluttin it up like Paris, she was speaking in a British accent to reporters for goodness sake. When the clip of her speaking british showed up (it’s nearly unavoidable to see Britney news) i just shook my head and thought, poor girl.

that’s the first thing I thought of…Chili con Carne. We’ve seen the walking dead before.

Good to see you have something to share with your little girl. just remember to tell her she is a princess. And that she is deserving of respect. from men.

Yeah, but with her daddy in the background trying to milk it for all it's worth, it will be the "grandaddy" of all fuck ups. I know it's coming. He probably fingers her backstage or something. Or she grew up watching daddy banging hillbilly groupies as a young babe. Something...
He's all over her show. He's lost the mullet, but got some cheesy do and a flavor saver now. He must be stopped.

As far as crushed dreams, I'm sure her popularity will nosedive well before the real downfall. The "E True Hollywood" kinda plummet. I noticed they exposed her lip sync deal with the body double and the BS hype over her 3D concert release pretty fast, they will surely be ready when it does come.

Headless Britney. And camel toe.

That's a good call. He does seem to always be sitting next to her. It's like, wait, we know he's her dad. lol But that's cool though I guess, I'm not hating. She seems like a cool kid, and I wouldn't like to see her fail.
Rachelyrach
dlisted and perez are pretty much the same thing as far as i can tell. some of my girlfriends follow them, which is how i heard about it.

our local news includes celebrity gossip segments. sp-cartmanderp.gif we have definitely had britney watch. i can't exactly figure out how that's news. sp-cartmannohat.gif
rinygrin
I fucking hate how Perez thought the episode as only "funny"
Then of course he writes another blog about her being fat.
Sweetie needs to look in the fucking mirror.

Yes, darker. Cartman didn't bring back Scott's parents and put them on stage at the VMAs, where millions could see them, follow them, and shoot pictures until they died for good. I was really interested as to how far Cartman would go back then (note that he made sure he wasn't around to see Mr. Jenkins kill Scott's parents), but Britney's attempted suicide was too much even for him.

Although Radiohead was in both eps. laugh.gif

a small sampling of what i usually hear in the mornings. sp-cartman.gif

Dude: good morning,
The other lady: good morning to you too,
weather slut: Morning! *headtilt
Dude: i like how you have your titties presented today...guys can we get a close up on this cleavage? Guys? can we, right over here? *pointing to the cleavage
The other lady: yes, yes, cleavage close-up
Dude: well, were glad you joined us here at FOX news,
The other lady: Yes we are,
weather slut: yes we are. *nods with stupid look on her face
The other Lady: we have a story developing as we speak,
Dude: there is a blaze at an elementary grade school, but first, news at the top of the hour...Britney was seen today driving in a car,
weather slut: yep, apparently driving down town.....
The other Lady: uh huh
Will
And don't forget:
Anamaria
Actually Perez Hilton talking about the new South Park episode is not that unusual biggrin.gif ....he had a post about them when they signed the new deal that will keep them on tv until 2011 smile.gif http://perezhilton.com/2007-08-28-three-more-years
Rachelyrach
well, it's certainly more unusual than him talking about santa angelina... or himself.

Having a dark joke or two doesn't make the whole episode dark. Scot Tenerman episode was pretty light and funny otherwise, the ending was just kind of what-the-fuck. But I think the whole Britney episode was kind of dark and creepy, more or less. I'm not putting it down, I liked it though. Just creeps me out a bit.
southparkpike
They definitely wanted everybody to be creeped out. It was creepy. But who hasn't thought to themselves, "Britney Spears is going to fucking kill herself, she can't get any privacy. And she's losing it."
