THE WOMAN/WOMEN OF SOUTH PARK

April Stewart does the voices of just about every female character in Parker and Stone’s long running hit series South Park. Here’s what she had to say.

Damn, too many things to comment on.
I’ve been doing voices for them since season seven I guess. The woman who originated every single voice was named Mary Kay Bergman. I only got the job shortly before she passed away. I am her replacement. When I took the job, I thought it was really important that I made it as seamless as possible. That wasn’t easy as she was amazing. So I want to make sure that I’m always doing her right.
But I will say this at least. She was at least woman enough to give a well deserved shout out!!!
Shortly before...?
I take it there wasn't a calm before the storm?

Yeah that seems like a typo. I've never heard of them finding a replacement for Mary Kay before her death.

April Stewart is doing the voices? sp-cartman.gif
What about Eliza J. Schneider sp-cartmannohat.gif I thought she is the one that does most of the female voices in SP .I've read in her bio that she's been with SP since 1999, right after Mary Kay died .

yeah, that can't be right. i remember in the mini-commentaries for that season, that they said that they were really scrambling after mk died. that they didn't want to go out and replace her right away because it would have felt disrespectful. so the last few episodes of that season don't have any of her characters. i remember one of those episodes was the christmas song one from trey and the guy who did the sp movie music arranging. i can't remember what the other episode was.

'' Keep in mind, if she didn't start doing voices until season seven, that Bergman died during season three. There was an entire person [Eliza Schneider] in between Bergman and Stewart & Marshall. So she not only mis-spoke and alleged that they knew Bergman was going to die, but she's ignoring a person who worked on the show for four years. ''--- this is a quote from a comentary .
The article should be a bit more accurate ffsfssfsfs sp-cartmansopissedrightnow.gif

Yeah, Mary Kay Bergman (aka Shannen Cassidy) did the voices for three years.
Eliza J. Schneider (aka Blue Girl) took over on episode 316 and lasted till the end of season 7. She's provided voices for video games since then.
April Stewart (aka Gracie Lazar) took over in season 8 and has been doing the females voices since

Maybe she confused Eliza J. Schneider for Mary Kay Bergman, heh.

Mona Marshall has been with the show for eight years now. smile.gif So Mona does Sheila and Linda, eh? I wonder if Jennifer Howell is still voicing Bebe.

I'm calling her out now. Read my site!

Bergman was found dead on November 11, 1999.
310, 312, and 313 aired before her death

The two episodes after her death are
311 - Starvin' Marvin In Space (Original Airdate: 11/17/99)
314 - The Red Badge Of Gayness (Original Airdate: 11/24/99) - this episode was the one dedicated to her.
These didn't have any of her voices in there.

315 - Mr Hankey's Christmas Classics (Original Airdate: 12/1/99) did have her voices in there, but they laid down the tracks for this ep in the late summer, giving the animators plenty of time to work on the animation.

Eliza J Schneider's first episode was
316 - Are You There God? It's Me, Jesus. (Original Airdate: 12/29/99)

Interesting read. M&T might be in trouble when she goes into labor though...
