...weak movie track record...
Well, if you can call one movie a record. Admittedly, it sucked, but hey, let's give it a chance. For one thing, they need to make this at least semi adult in nature. I personally envision an epic trilogy, mixing in kind of a grungy 300 feel to it (with a taste of SPAWN), leaving out any trips to
our modern times and planet, skipping all the silly Prince Adam and Orko crap, and doing it up like those original comics they had out in the beginning. I wanna see Skeletor deal out some serious hurt, and keep the corn to a minimum. Now they can truly make a movie to be proud of, all that CG stuff, when done right, can bring this thing over the top. We need unknown actors though, fuck Brad Pitt, or anyone else too well known. I'd personally like an R rating, but would settle for a line teetering PG-13, with a serious unrated or R cut on DVD. But I'd really prefer an R in the theater, I mean come on, although kids are sure to be there, this movie is for guys around my age.
Think about it, the first film an intro to He-man and his world: Friend and Foe.
The sequel: Hordak and his cronies are introduced into the mix.
The finale: King Hiss and his band of fiendishly slithery reptilian beasts show up and all is wrapped up into a tidy little bow, with future possibilities left open.
This could be as big as Spiderman, if they did it right dammit!!!
If they resold the toys as they were originally put out, I'd secretly buy them all and play with them back here. Fuck robot cars and shit, this is where it's at...
