Spring Break won't last forever and the kids want to make the last day count in an all-new episode of "South Park" titled, "I Should Have Never Gone Ziplining," premiering Wednesday, April 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central. The boys are excited to spend a day ziplining in the Colorado Mountains. But high in the Rockys, far from their families, their trip takes a bad turn. Chances of survival are slim. All they can do is wait to be rescued. But will help come too late? clip pic 1 pic 2 -------------------- ![]() |

I've gone ziplining too. In grade six. I can't wait to see this. Sounds solid.

I liked the first half of this episode, because it was so funny in its realistic view on tourist groups. It reminded me a lot of "Asspen" :).
But the jokes got boring quickly... It felt like Trey and Matt really wanted to do something about this topic, but they had no good ending for their story. So they mixed up everything South Park fans want: Live action actors, Mr. Hankey, poo, puke and a Kenny dead. It felt kinda forced :(. I laughed about the silly live action sequence at first, but it was too long and just repeated the jokes we already know. So... the episode had its funny moments when it focused on the tourist groups, but this wasn't enough. I prefer regular storytelling, because we already had "Crippled Summer" in a similar style. -------------------- |

--- edit ---
Ok, i edited this post a bit because I kinda over reacted. I mean, I felt pretty emotional about it, like I often do because South Park means so much to me :D At first this episode didn't impress me. The style of it with the narration and stuff obviously seemed to be parodying something I wasn't familiar with and it seemed a bit repetative. But when it got into the story of the tourist groups and how boring those activities can be and the way it was made over the top tragic in its boringness, I started to really enjoy it. Also, I liked just the four boys being the center of this episode and working together like in the old days. I don't get the ending... I mean, what the fuck was that?! When it got to the live action bit, I immediately lost my interest. I HATED the live action. And it's not just the fact that they did it, but the WAY they did it. If they had just ran out of time and ideas, that's fine and understandable and they could just take a cheap way out of it. Mr. Hankey? Fine. I wonder how they ended up doing the live-action bit. It must have been planned well ahead and not just a quickie for an ending. Especially when shooting live action stuff takes up so much more time than regular animation. Had they spent that time in the studio they might have come up with something better. I found the live action pretty awkward to watch. Can't wait to hear their commentaries on this one! I wonder who the actors were and if they actually auditioned or if they were just random PA's or something... Even when I criticise South Park, it's usually all relative. Something that's bad for South Park can still be pretty good compared to other shows. But this live action part was just horrible TV in general. Even if it was making fun of that kind of stuff, it really wasn't South Park. -------------------- |

I agree with Zwerg. I liked the first half, but when it got to live action it lost me. I just wasn't into it at all.

That fucking rocked. Loved every minute of it. So random... Randomly awesome. Completely out of left field. I laughed alot. The live-action guys were funny. And Cartman shat his pants, lol. So, it only makes sense that Mr Hankey returns.

And it was like a 'Cannibal-Bikini-Blowout.' And the cooking device was a giant grill that I was shackled to, but my head hung off the edge, and you and your friends would rub your asses/pussies in my face to muffle my screams, and giggle madly and joyously. |

I really didn't like the live action part that much, but what a relief to see them trying something outside the box. Everything was totally random and bizarre, and they did a hell of a job making fun of that type of TV program. I loved it! I don't want to discourage that kind of creative exploration because even though it wasn't that great, it was something completely new. Going inside Cartman's stomach was AWESOME. Plus, I enjoyed hearing a different narrator voice too. Lots of different stuff in this episode and I want to encourage them to take more creative chances like that.
But I can understand why some of you didn't enjoy it. It's not like the live action part was good or even that funny, but it did a great job of ripping that kind of TV programming which has become WAY too common. So the last two episodes have been pretty epic in my opinion. |

What is wrong with everybody?! I LOVED this episode. Even the critics are dissing it. One review was complaining that they were using the same joke over and over, whilst explaining that they want an episode as funny as Broadway Bro-Down which was a running joke all the way through. Anyway, the beginning of this season started off pretty rubbish, but these past couple of episodes have been really good.
I have a theory that Matt and Trey have been focusing on not being Family Guy these past couple of years, and to try and not contradict themselves they have limited how random they can be. But these past two episodes have been really random, and for me it's worked. I do love the social commentary in their episodes, but I also just love alternative comedy. So I needed this episode! blah blah blah.... -------------------- 6 years of loyal service.

I loved this episode until the live action.
I was really enjoying the jokes, everything was great. I don't understand why they needed the live action. It ruined the episode for me and it made me a bit sad too. I didn't need to see some guys playing SP characters so poorly. If they really wanted to do something original and outside the box they should have used 10 year old kids. I will try my best to forget the live action ever happened. -------------------- <3 <3 <3 ![]() |

Anamaria - DITTO and Amen to that! My thoughts exactly, except that you managed to sum it up in a couple of sentences instead of a whole paragraph like me :D

Because of changes in the story, the actors were called back to reshoot some scenes. Matt and Trey thought the fans would be pleasantly surprised by the live action, but it sure didn't turn out that way. I liked it, mostly because it was such a lazy reenactment. QUOTE(tuhinal @ Apr 19 2012, 08:54 AM) I wonder who the actors were and if they actually auditioned or if they were just random PA's or something... They actually did audition for those roles. One of the actors is named Brandon Hardesty, and here's his YouTube channel. He's done other shows too. -------------------- Arrive alive.

The live action scene was a parody of a reinactment. It wasn't supposed to be the actual boys. I thought it was quite funny. I dont se what the fuss was about.

That was one funny South Park!!!! ;p I liked it. The only part I didn't get, and I'm usually good with this, but what show were they supposed to be mimicking? And who did the narration?
I've always wanted live action of the boys, just didn't expect it to come in college boy form. ;p But the idea that it was supposed to be a "reenactment" was funny 'cause reenactments are usually ridiculous like that. ;p (It always gets me when they use a super cute skinny chick to portray some big fat chick that's telling the story) -------------------- yo

The show is "I Shouldn't Be Alive." The narrator was Eric Meyers, who does the narration for that show. :)
