Matt & Trey were just on The Daily Show talking about #1507. They said that they had a great time making the episode and don't know how it ends yet. They will figure it out this summer.

More importantly, they said they still love South Park.

So it looks South Park is here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Great to hear! But actually no big surprise for me, I still think the last episode had a positive message and for me it was no sign for the beginning of the end.

But I don't believe Trey when he sais they have no idea what they will do next... ;) I think this time they have st least some ideas, because they ended with this cliffhanger about Stan's family and friendship.

I was sure it seemed like the beginning of an end... I must say that I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't. They should know when to stop :(

Maybe they haven't reached that time yet. We'll know when official news comes out in August. Hopefully, they've still got a few good years left in them, at least.

I thought the interview left it up in the air. They didn't confirm they'd make more episodes past August, and we knew this one wasn't their last because it's midseason.

Yeah, the mid-season thing was part of the reason I assumed it to be the beginning of the end. I don't think they would only give us half a season.

As long as Comedy Central can make billions off of South Park, they'll make millions. Do they have enough episodes of South Park where they won't need Matt and Trey to make new ones?

And you must remember that South Park continues to get a new audience every year as folks get old enough to be allowed to watch South Park--they're ALL new episodes to them. Hell, they might even hate the "old style" episodes--before Cartman's voice changed

Anybody got a youtube link or anything?

Granted, I missed some episodes this last run because I'm a fool that watches entirely too much baseball, but regardless, I'm of the opinion that if they want to go 5 more years, then go 5 more years. It's still funny. I also happen to agree that if whomever really thinks that every episode is getting regressively worse, then stop watching (lots of "used-to-like fans" out there); I mean, what's the point? If it really is that bad. Move on.

Resistance is futile, obviously.

Start watching baseball. You'll find yourself missing episodes without even meaning to. :sp-butters:

Anyways, last night I dreamed that you and your friends (who I guess were just made-up girls) were BBQing me in your back yard in the summer. And it was like a 'Cannibal-Bikini-Blowout.' And the cooking device was a giant grill that I was shackled to, but my head hung off the edge, and you and your friends would rub your asses/pussies in my face to muffle my screams, and giggle madly and joyously.

To be clear, I for one, don't think it's necessarily getting worse regressively. It's just often pretty disappointing nowadays, but there are still worse and better episodes, in random order. I still have some faith in it.

I just watched the video. It... it didn't convince me what they said about still loving the show. The previous episode wasn't 'ordinary', I think anyone can agree with that. It seemed like it had a special meaning. The meaning wasn't necessarily that they're tired of making the show or that it's about to end. But I still feel like they kept themselves from opening up too much about the episode. Maybe the time was just too limited for the interview, I don't know. I guess I might just have to wait till the commentary to hear what that episode was really about, or what the story behind it was (if they'll even tell it then).

On another note, they both looked pretty well ^_^ You can often tell, particularly with Trey, when he's not doing so well. So that's positive.

(... and Matt's pretty hot still...)

Jon Stewart is pretty annoying. His attempts to be funny just leave me really awkward.

:thumbSanta: :thumbSanta:

lol, I wouldn't call him annoying, but he is definitely not as funny/clever as he thinks he is. I haven't watched the Daily Show since Kilborne was the host (or unless a "special guest[s]" is on:) Politics blows. And if anything, Stewart's laugh is highly annoying.
