Cool :) I wonder what the "Behind the scenes: About Last Night" is. You know when it's gonna come out? In summer?

Anyways, last night I dreamed that you and your friends (who I guess were just made-up girls) were BBQing me in your back yard in the summer. And it was like a 'Cannibal-Bikini-Blowout.' And the cooking device was a giant grill that I was shackled to, but my head hung off the edge, and you and your friends would rub your asses/pussies in my face to muffle my screams, and giggle madly and joyously.

They put 'Six Days of South Park' and 'Behind The Scenes: Major Boobage' on their website before. I wonder why not 'Behind the Scenes: About Last Night'?

I thought setting up South Park Digital Studios was about creating and making exclusive content to available fans. It appears buying the DVD is now more important.

But we still get it first. :) The Studios could just NOT show us this exclusive stuff at all and just put it on the DVDs. They probably consider 'Behind the Scenes: About Last Night' too close to the DVD release date to put on the site.

Well damn, I'm happy they include it on this DVD because I can view fuck all on SPS. *I don't see why they can't do a complete mirror version for Canadian views, idk idk it's annoying*
I still have yet to buy any of the DVDS, I may just look into starting up a collection now...

I wonder if sales have gone down in recent years and that's why they're adding content to the DVDs. I didn't buy season 11, I downloaded the set. If they're too stingy with their time to do full commentaries and extended behind the scenes of how they animate, do the voices, etc., I'm too stingy with my money to buy them. And, in all honesty, I haven't had TIME to watch the DVDs I downloaded.

SPS has been very lax in responding to the fans needs/expectations. Let me give you an example of folks who have--Food Network is INCREDIBLY popular in the NY/NJ area--everyone watches shows like Good Eats, Ace of Cakes, and Diners, Drive ins and Dives, etc. The network has always been very open to and responsive to the comments of fans, having lots of pop-up "you've been chosen to participate" sureveys. They realized that the INTERNET could be a major secondary presence for them and completely revamped their internet site to be FULL of videos, behind the scenes, full episodes, etc. Lots of advertising, but lots of really cool content that you're ok with waiting through the ads.

Well well well! Season 13 Premiere in HD

QUOTE("nall at South Park Studios")
On Wednesday March 11, 2009 at 10 pm EST South Park goes HD. We are really excited because, not only will the season premiere be in HD, but we have been working hard for over a year re-rendering previous seasons in native HD. We are not up-converting the episodes, but actually going into each episode and re-rendering every shot and frame at true HD. Check back soon for more info on the Comedy Central and South Park HD news, and the season 13 premiere.

And don't forget to check out the brand new South Park: The Complete Uncensored Twelfth Season Blu-ray and the South Park: The Complete Uncensored Twelfth Season DVD, available for pre-order at the Comedy Central store. Each version features behind the scenes footage shown right here on SouthParkStudios.com, including:

• Featurette: Six Days to South Park – A Day-by-Day Making of South Park (Super Fun Time)
• Featurette: Six Days to South Park -- The Sixth Day (About Last Night)
• Featurette: The Making of ''Major Boobage''
• And mini-commentaries by Matt and Trey for each episode (not available at sps.com)

For those paying attention, "Six Days to South Park - About Last Night" hasn't even premiered on the site. But isn't there an inauguration happening soon?

I find it hard to sit through many ads, or long 'messages', before, during or after content on the net. I think it's because the broadcast rules governing how many ads are allowed per minutes of any type of broadcast are very different in Ireland and the UK. Usually an hours worth of programming on a terrestrial channel is allowed three breaks of ads (approx three mins each) and on digital channel they are allowed four breaks.

I'm so used to watching lots of TV with out any ads at all, e.g. all the BBC channels, that I get very impatient with ads on TV never mind the net. But it seems to the way Web content can be developed and funded for so I guess I have to get the hell over it pretty soon. I suppose, as you say Nobby, if the net content is worthwhile and original it worth making the effort.

I'm not sure what South Park Digital Studios 'ethos' (if that's not too grand a term) is especially towards its fans. I remember reading that the original contract SP made with CC had a clause which didn't cover digital and/or internet (as such) content and that therefore SP could own their own chunk of material that comes under that clause. Obviously, in 1997 CC, or anyone else, couldn't have foreseen how huge and lucrative internet content would become.

Same art-work. But exciting to see Blu-Ray is coming out too.

I'm not sure about Blu-ray and possibly investing in a player etc. Is it really the next, or current best 'thing'? Or will there be another 'cooler' thing along very, very soon...?

Grrr, blueray.
Wow, I can't wait to get this on DVD, and just a month or so away?
It will look so good with all the other ones.
I noticed all the older seasons are at Wal Mart for $20 now. Kinda pisses me off, but when I get each new season I want to possess it immediately, or be possessed by it. I don't really have time to catch it on Comedy Channel, or feel the need to see online. Having these babies are perfect for snuggling down in bed, and catching about 4-5 episodes a night real quicklike.
I admit, I wish they'd do longer commentaries, and load it with special crap just for me, but the sheep I am, I must have them. All.

Blu-Ray has about a 50/50 shot at the moment. People talk about video content moving towards the internet, while I do think that will eventually be the outcome. The bandwidth just isn't there yet to deliver HD content in 1080p format, which Blu-Ray delivers.

Rule of the thumb for Blu-Ray if you can find the new gen version of the player for under $200 I say buy, until then it's on hold.

Haven't bought a dvd since the battle of the players. I've got HBO for that. Hopefully the fools are losing profits during all the confusion. Maybe I'll pick up a few soon though....

If my lawyer comes through for me, I'm going to clear upwards 10 grand. That would be nice, especially since it was stolen from me.
