When Ms. Garrison is the victim of yet another failed relationship, she takes it out on the fourth graders in an all-new "South Park" entitled, "D-Yikes," premiering on Wednesday, April 11 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Comedy Central.

Every time Ms. Garrison gets dumped, life becomes unbearable in the classroom. When the boys can no longer handle their teacher's erratic mood swings and excessive homework assignments, they discover people-for-hire who can help out in any situation.

Pretty strong start but I thought it really came unraveled with the 300 parody in the second half. Granted I haven't actually seen 300 (only parodies), but I know when stuff ain't gellin'. A good episode, barely.

To be honest CL theres only a small part which parody's the movie completely.

Anyway, i thought this episode was terrific! although i would have wanted a bit more story on the boys and there book report.

The whole Mexican thing was great. And my housemate briefly saw the scissor scene and walked away shocked with laughter...
... [sigh] South Park Virgins!

This was truly a great episode. The whole facts of women having sex in the scissor way makes me laugh. And the Mexican jokes were classic. A+

This episode and the Season 11 Opener are my favorites so far this Season. :sp-cartmanderp:

The first half was pretty good, until all the 300 parody and Persians came along. The 2nd half was just.. stupid and crappy. Not a very good episode all in all. Worst of the season so far, I think.

Going to the Mexicans who'll do ANYTHING for work was funny....I think they could have taken that step further. I didn't see 300, so if they were parodying that, it went right over my head. I didn't get the end of it at all What am I missing from not seeing 300? I know that sometimes, if you understand what they are parodying (and agree with their point of view) an episode can be hysterical to some, weak to others. THe Great Expectations episode is a prime example of that.

Maybe I'll just have to wait for Will to do his "secrets" for the episode.

All the slow motion for no reason was directly from 300. In 300 it seemed every 5 minutes for no reason the action would suddenly go slow motion. South Park definitely spoofed that really well. Garrison saying "This is Les Bos!!!" was a parody on the line "This is Sparta!!!" from 300.

I like how Garrison has now gone full circle, and is this the first time they revealed "her" name is Janet? I guess there's no female equivalent to Herbert...

The whole scissor sex was hilarious too.

Overall a somewhat weird episode, but still decent.

I don't know why...but like...I couldn't watch the whole episode...it was just like, I skimmed through the whole thing...just to see what the solution was...I was actually...disappointed? I was expecting more? The whole mexican thing was hilarious, but...I don't know...

All you're missing are the camera techniques - slow mo, fast forward, and in the case of the chips, the subject matter being focused on. As fas as I know, that scene was a jab at the other scenes. It could hearken back to a potato chip commercial sometime in the past or it could be a scene from the anime Death Note, or it could just be something Trey wanted to throw in there.
