That's an awesome review!! The first thing I thought of when I heard "National Lampoon"'s name attached to it were those awful that awful Coreys movie and all of the other crap they've been pumping out lately--it's nice of the reviewer to put Electric Apricot alongside National Lampoon's Vacation, Christmas Vacation and Animal House.

I liked it, found it funny. I want to see it again...Les' head was in the way last time.

Okay, no it wasn't...but if it was, I'd have said, "Hey, tall boy, get the hell out of the way!"

No, not really...maybe. It would have been my own fault for sitting in the back row.

The Onion's sister publication, The AV Club, has so much time on its hands that it decided to write and publish a review of film and music promo stuff. In at Item No 8 (scroll down) is an 'acceptable' product from Electric Apricot.

I saw Electric Apricot and it is AMAZING! Jason is hilarious as 'Smilin' Don the band's manager, Les Claypool is hysterical as Lapdog, and Dian Bachar nearly steals the entire show with a performance that alone is worth the price of admission! I laughed out loud throughout and I have to see it again to pick up the things I missed the first time! Electric Apricot is an instant classic and I know that you will find it a very funny, very entertaining movie. I highly recommend that you see it!

I have to agree on all of what you said and especially on the Dian part, when he got in the car to drive away. Perfect!

I went to see Les Claypool in Nashville last night and realized when I got there I had spent all my cash! I didn't realize he'd be selling EA DVDs. So I was very close to having a review of that movie...but don't quite have one yet. Can't wait to see this thing.

He said making it was the hardest experience in his life. HiHO to the show he put on, though. :sp-towelie:
