I agree, it's nothing special... Matt and Trey have an excuse though.

Listening the voices in the episode, I could have sworn they sounded exhausted.

Yes, it wasn't that great. Everyone at SPS was freaking out and saying that it was the best thing since sliced bread, but I must disagree. Oh well, they did spend a lot of time on Team America, and it was well worth it.

Yeah, KennyStanWendyFan and the other Matt/Trey sheep are all getting on their knees and bowing to it. The ones with some sense (like Passion) are saying that it was OK, but certainly not the best episode ever. Most of my closest friends completely disliked that episode.

As always, Trey and Matt rely on people being aware of some things--that I don't know that they ARE aware of. For example--PETA going after school kids for having a cow as a mascot. Well, a little over the top, but PETA did have a campaign using "Unhappy Meals"--distributed DIRECTLY TO CHILDREN boxes that resembled Happy Meal boxes but actually had pictures of cows being slaughtered, the "atrocities" of raising cattle, etc.. This freaked the little kids out, pissed off parents, etc., but PETA members felt they were justified because they want to "educate" children on the horrors of eating meat. (Oh, mad cow disease isn't enough?) and turn everyone into vegetarians. If you read Jason's Cannibal diary (its at Alferd's site) you'd know that Trey had some "issues" with vegetarians back then. Anyway, if you're not aware of the history of PETA and their antics, you might think that "no, they'd never little kids--that's nuts". Well, they ARE nuts.

I thought the "debate scene" was inspired--Kerry was clearly the giant douche, while Bush--who babbled until the buzzer--was the turd sandwich. (Did you guys know that Bush calls Karl Rove "Turd Blossom"? Check it out--do a Google on Turd Blossom and you'll find PAGES AND PAGES of articles on Karl Rove) If you had watched all the debates, you'd appreciate the "well, first I'd like to thank...", etc. that Kerry started with...then Bush tried to imitate, then babbled. Too bad they didn't mention what HARD WORK it was to be a mascot.

The scene with Jimmy was INSPIRED--"wait ten seconds"..and you wait...then "wait another ten seconds".. C'mon--they're just blowing time--that was hysterical because you KNEW why they were doing it!

Then there were you movie references--like Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (tied to a horse backwards with a papier mache head mask, Max was sent into the desert, banished from Bartertown. Yep--I'm a fan too). There were some more, but I've only seen this episode once....so far.

It wasn't one of their BEST episodes--I think if they had a bit more time to tighten up some of the jokes, etc., it could have been better. But HEY!! They HAD A EPISODE ON TIME!! That alone is pretty amazing given what they've been doing lately. SPSBB?? I wouldn't worry too much about them.

It was topical,
It was funny (c'mon, it was better than others)
It made it on the air.

You can't shit diamonds everyday.

I liked the Jimmy part. While it seemed at a clear attempt to waste 30 seconds, he did say "O.k, lets see which one has staying power.." so it came off as nessessary. I believe it's our responsibility to vote, but i don't need P. Diddy to tell me to die if I don't. Vote Or Die is an absurd statement. I like how P.Diddy's voice sounded like James Bond or some guy named Geevz.

I really liked it.
Of course there have been much better episodes, but I really liked this one.
The P Diddy rap was awesome.

"Vote or Die, muthaf****!
Muthaf****, Vote or Die!
I like it when you vote, bitch.
Shake them titties when you vote, bitch."

For those wanting the SP Vote Or Die rap as an mp3:

Clicky!

I'm sure an uncensored and much better version will be up at South Park Studios soon.

The last part of your post is very typical of a rap song.

Next week we get ANOTHER new episode!!! I'm just glad they aren't blowing their fans off, it's pretty admirable that they worked really hard on TA and then... worked hard on SP right after. And come on, there were songs in the new episode, their songs are always great. :D

Sorry for going off topic, but did anyone watch Drawn Together? It was pretty good. :)

Yeah, I saw the intro on the website.
It was pretty funny.
That was a good song as well.
