Well put Tinadoll.  I must say your posting has really come along way.

If fans (of whatever it may be) were the sole arbiters of any work or person then only one opinion, or variants of the same opinion, would exist.  The choice enjoyed by us here in the Western world is that we can express more than one opinion on any subject matter.  Damn cool if you ask me!

One of the reasons I post at CRAPtv forums is because I really enjoy South Park and admire Matt Stone’s and Trey Parker’s work.  They are a fantastic success story proving their own maxim of never taking one opinion or side of the story for granted.  To scrutinise, dissect ideas and to explore and push your own thinking to the limit is an instructive and interesting method in formulating thinking and beliefs.

Not one of is the same.

Thankfully and one helluva relief all round, eh?...!
*

Why Thank You Kitten, I am trying.

Although, yes, we are doomed to agree to disagree.I am still a Trey and Matt fanAnd Yes- They don't take sides on certian issues

But god forbid if you were on thier current target list or cross them the wrong way (Scientology anyone?) So in saying that, the perhaps do take some form of side.

But to push your thinking further: Is Bono ( a Rock star with a mission ) actually the biggest douche in the world? Doesn't George Bush actually fit that better? Or perhaps Saddam Hussain, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad(the Political leader of Iran) or perhaps one of the leaders of Hamas?

All I am saying is that perhaps Bono is not a wise choice

Bono is my choice and with good reason.

The others you mention, that you may choose as you see fit, can be described in other terms. For example, and in no particular order: a megalomaniac mass murderer, a spoilt, brain damaged illiterate and a despotic, misguided bigot (take yer pick!)

Bono is a douche and in my mind the biggest douche in the Universe. His many douche-like qualities are known very well here. They have been spread from this our shared city of birth, throughout this land and emanated from here to the world beyond. Many, especially in this country, who have followed Brand Bono's control freak development are not fooled by his ego-driven, naive, poorly planned, political and corporate pleasing sycophantics. He is truly worthy. :sp-jesus:

Which can be all summed up in the word "Douche"

But i get your drift.

(BTW If you want you can give the US Bono and i can send you Bush in return)

After several suggestions, I now am stuck in a tie:
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad(the Political leader of Iran) and...
BONO! Sorry, ain't into him, babe. I'd rather have Dubya. And I even OWN some U2 cds, however, nothing newer than Zooropa (song with Johnny Cash in there) as they have thoroughly CHEESED over time. I dont give a flying fuck HOW MANY albums they've sold. The Nobel Peace Prize is but a stepping stone...
To WHAT you may ask...?
WORLD DOMINATION!!!
I love the Bobcat Goldthwait impression of him from the With or Without You video. I've never seen anybody do him better.
And the guy running IRAN? Claims the Holocaust was make believe and vows to wipe Israel off the map? With WHAT since he claims they ARENT trying to make nukes? Here, look at the monkey...
Look at the silly monkey...
Al Jazeera was claiming they had inside White House espionage style knowledge that we (the U.S.) were going to attack them. Last June.
:sp-cartmanlaugh:
Only off a year...

i got an email from bono! oh, delight and gorgeousness!

QUOTE
Dear Rachel:

My journey began in Africa in 1984, when I went to Ethiopia. On my last day there, a man handed me his baby and said, "Take him with you." He knew in Ireland his son would live, in Ethiopia his son would die.

That was the moment my journey began, and today, it's continuing across Africa. I spent the last week listening to and learning from the beautiful, proud people of Lesotho, Rwanda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Mali, and now here in Ghana.

Every person I have met only makes me more hopeful, more convinced that Africa is rising.

It's about lives saved and transformed, it's about the girl who gets to go to school, the mothers who will live to raise their children because of life-saving AIDS drugs, the entrepreneurs thriving and providing jobs...

It is not about charity, it's about justice. Together as ONE, we can do even more... this is our civil rights movement.

Today we are in Ghana where NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams will broadcast live from Africa for the first time. I hope you'll tune in and even turn up at a house party near you and see some of the hope, the new mood in Africa, I've witnessed here.

My journey has brought me back to Africa - I hope I can share a small part of that with you today.

Thanks,

Bono

nothing says house party like a special on aids in africa! break out the spinach dip and fat tire!

Holy fuckin Jaysus/Bono. :sp-jesus:

It's all about him. His journey, every person he met, his (sob) hope ...

There are some things that I believe to be infinite in the universe but there's only one real thing I truly believe to be infinite on our planet and that is Bono's ego.

If it wasn't for him how would anyone of us know this stuff, right?!?

Don't forget to apply for yer Africa friendly credit card here
and be a 'conscience consumer' cos you couldn't be one without it!

Whatever you use it for, from cappuccinos to cashmere.

That's the wording in the ad. I'm so serial.

Ohhhh lookey here! How awful that Bono fell on his fat arse. Delightful. Did ya see how he posed ‘sexily’ (bleurhg) afterwards to make up for his (down) fall? He’s genius.

:sp-cartmanlaugh: :sp-jesus: :sp-cartmanlaugh: :sp-jesus: :sp-cartmanlaugh:

When I saw Rachel had posted something new in this thread my heart fell. I was thinking 'what the fuck has the self-righteous, self-serving bastard of an eejit been up to now???!!!'

So that clip cheered me up no end - thank you. :D

Does anyone else think that Bono really wants to shag with The Edge??? Kinda like the thang Jagger and Richards have (had?) but way, way less cool.

Bono fallin on his arse - hehehehe. I should watch it at least 100 times...
