Park City, Utah, Lapdance Rides Again.  Hold on Hollywood, just when you thought Utah was safe again, the legendary Lapdance Film Festival is gearing back up with what is being called; Lapdance 2013: Aprés Apocalypse Party. “We plan to bus in another fast and futuristic film festival with an amazing musical line up, a new slate of eclectic cinema and of course a sexy dance party.  Submissions will start this spring!” says festival founder, Jason McHugh.

McHugh is in PArk City this week for an extra special Slamdance screening of one of Trey Parker’s “Lost Musicals” that has never been publically screened before. “Timewarped” takes you on  a musical romp through time and was originally produced as a pilot for Fox TV by the Avenging Conscience, Parker, McHugh and Matt Stone’s production company that went on to produce Orgazmo.  The pilot episode depicts the story of Aaron, the brother of Moses, as they free the Hebrew Slaves from an evil Egyptian Pharoah with plenty of song and dance of course!

McHugh has just released a new book titled “Shpadoinkle: The Making of Cannibal! The Musical” which chronicles his travails producing a low budget feature film with his pals from Colorado, Matt Stone and Trey Parker.  There are a couple of chapters dedicated to the art of crashing the Sundance Film Festival with guerilla screenings, as they did way back in 1994. “I have always been excited by the alternative dance scene that has thrived in Park City for almost two decades now. It is an honor to be a jury member at this year’s Slamdance Film Festival and an ideal place to unveil my new book, while secretly scouting for the rebirth of Lapdance our cutting edge multi-media event that the Hollywood Reporter recently called “Notorious.” “
